"Passion to talk

Talk to Inspire"

Introduction

Due to the global pandemic, social media platforms have gradually become the mainstream communication tool for teenagers in recent years, which has then led to online lectures and web seminars congruently growing into a new trend.

Dream Compassioneers are establishing a platform on the internet to provide an opportunity for social elites with plenty of service experience or influence to build a bridge between the needy and the general public. Even if participants are unable to communicate face-to-face with the speaker due to the constraints of the epidemic, nor they could personally visit the third world-country to witness the suffering of the impoverished, the issue of the talk can be successfully put under the spotlight.

Aims

  • An experienced guest speaker shall lead the audience to discuss international current events/ issues related to education/children’s rights

  • A guest speaker shall share their personal overseas service experience in order to arouse the interest of the audience to participate in similar activities organised by Dream Compassioneers

  • We wish to provoke the audience to reflect on their personal experiences, hence strengthening the publicity and promote the organisation’s educational obligations towards the general public.

Features

  • Conducted in form of a seminar, with a Q&A session at the end of the event, which shall further enable guest speakers and participants to initiate conversations, thereby enhancing the public’s interest

  • Increasing the public's understanding of the social issues discussed, moreover, allowing the participants to be more involved in aiding the needy of the community

  • Social elites with rich service-related experiences taking up the role as speakers can enrich the content of the event, as consequently, participants would also benefit from the talk/webinar while broadening their horizons
